The University of Maine at Augusta is seeking applicants for a full-time Assistant Director of Admissions. The Assistant Director is primarily responsible for assisting in the oversight of off-campus recruitment programs, high schools, and community college onsite admissions, in and out-of-state territory management, guidance counselor relations, and department/faculty collaboration on program-specific information sessions. The Assistant Director collaborates closely with the Director of Admissions in directing recruitment operations and provides admissions counselors with leadership and the support needed to achieve university admission goals.

Salary: The hiring salary range for this position is in the high 40s and is commensurate with training, education, and experience and will take into consideration the salary of current UMS employees for transfer/promotion.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to work simultaneously with multiple projects and timelines.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong technical skills, including demonstrated familiarity with PeopleSoft, spreadsheets, databases, CRMs, and Microsoft Office Suite

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Two to four years of higher education admissions experience
  • Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communications
  • Demonstrated strong organizational, planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Five or more years of successful higher education recruitment experience
  • Experience in higher education admissions and/or enrollment
