The State of Maine Unorganized Territories is now accepting applications for the following position:
One Teacher MS / Guidance counselor position for Kingman students, grades K-5. This is a four (4) hour bi- weekly position. This is professional services work in Guidance at the Kingman Elementary school which is operated by the State Maine. Responsibilities include developing course curriculum in Guidance based on the MLR for grades K-5, include assessment tools, implements course curriculum in Guidance based on MLR for K-5 and or modifying student progress and adjusting student programming to ensure student learning objectives Work is performed under limited supervision.

The Division of State Schools – EUT (Education in the Unorganized Territory) is responsible for the provision of educational services on behalf of resident pupils in Maine’s unorganized territory (UT). |
| Community Description: |
There are 420 townships within the 9.3 million acres of unorganized territory, with a population of almost 8,000 residents. Approximately 1,041 pupils are legal residents of the UT, with 62 pupils attending one of the four elementary schools operated by the Division. The remaining 879 pupils are tuitioned to the nearest public school system. Those pupils who reside in remote or geographically isolated areas of the UT receive educational services through a variety of alternative programs. |
