	Job Placement Services (Saco Island School)
Job Placement Services, Inc. was founded in 1992 providing vocational work experience in Southern Maine. We continue to provide employment services both for students and those working with the vocational rehabilitation center. Seeing a need in Southern Maine, JPS, Inc. has also created two other programs. Those programs are Saco Island School and Thatcher Brook Center. Saco Island School is a State of Maine approved school for special needs students in grades 6-12. We provide students with an opportunity to learn and grow in a small, supportive, non-traditional environment with the behavioral expectations of a professional setting. Programming is also available for full or half day vocational experience for students with special needs. Thatcher Brook Center is a life skills program for adults with disabilities in Southern Maine. The participants of this program have the opportunity to learn and reinforce skills, go on community outings and volunteer in various community settings.
