Woodfords Family Services is actively seeking caring and compassionate educators to join our growing team as Educational Technicians (Ed Techs) in our Early Childhood Services Program. Positions are full-time (40 hrs.) and include a competitive compensation and generous benefits package!

 

Position Summary

Ed Techs I, II, & IIIs work directly one-to-one with children ages 3-5 and diagnosed with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in our therapeutic preschool environment.

With oversight, training, and instruction from the classroom Lead Teacher, Ed techs apply the use of evidence-based practices and intervention to support young learners in developing foundational skills that promote achievement of life-long goals and independence.

Services will be provided onsite at our Specialized Preschool in Westbrook, ME!

 

Here's what we're looking for:

Full-time (40 hrs.); Monday through Friday; 8:00am-4:00pm schedule

$20-21/per hour - commensurate with education and experience

$1,500 Sign-on bonus - paid at successful completion of 6 months employment!

 

What are the qualifications to become an Ed Tech?

  • Ed Tech I - High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Ed Tech II - Minimum of 60 college credits
    • Associates Degree in a related field preferred.
  • Ed Tech III - Minimum of 90 college credits
    • Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
  • Preference given to individuals with a minimum of two (2) years of related experience working with children with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
  • Valid driver's license with clean record
  • Personal vehicle and current auto insurance
