We are seeking an experienced, energetic, Preschool Teacher at our Chisholm Early Learning Center to work as part of a classroom management team planning activities to meet children’s social, emotional, physical and cognitive development, and supporting parents in meeting their children’s and family’s needs. This position is 40 hours/week/ 38 weeks/year. Effective January 31, 2022, the Head Start Program Performance Standards, to which Community Concepts is contractually bound, will be requiring all Head Start staff to comply with its universal masking policy and be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 unless they have an approved medical/disability or religious exemption, in which case they must test on at least a weekly basis and have a negative test to remain in the classroom. To Qualify: A minimum of an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field, Bachelor’s degree preferred; minimum of three years’ supervisory experience is preferred; a minimum of five years’ experience in early child care and education is preferred.
Other Requirements: Successful candidates must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to lead and motivate others. Pre-employment SBI, DMV, DHHS, fingerprinting, sex offender registry and federal debarment background checks must be completed upon offer of hire and as a condition of employment; physical exam and TB screening are completed upon hire. Must have a valid driver’s license; telephone; competency with Microsoft Office; ability to function autonomously and as part of a team.
