Required Certification:Maine Certification in Social Studies 5-8 (200M), Social Studies 7-12 (200S), or certifiable in the State of Maine

The Kittery School District is currently seeking a highly qualified, certified Social Studies teacher to join our 6th grade team at Shapleigh School. The position will start in late August for the 2024-25 school year.
The ideal candidate for this position will hold a valid Maine 5-8 or 7-12 certification in Social Studies or be certifiable in the State of Maine, have experience teaching in a Proficiency Based Learning system, and be able to effectively communicate and collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary teaching team.
You must be able to pass a background test through the State of Maine Education Department.
