Anticipated Opening 2024-2025 School Year: Physical Education Teacher
Mount Vernon Elementary School- 1 day per week- Monday
Job Goal: To implement a comprehensive fun and engaging physical education program to elementary level students. The position is responsible for creating a classroom environment that fosters, promotes and develops an understanding of the relationship of healthy body function, wellness and exercise.
Qualifications:
- Expertise in delivering physical education instruction to elementary level students.
- Good athletic ability and knowledge of the human body.
- Strong ability to motivate and inspire and to build positive relationships with elementary level students.
- Desire to work collaboratively with other professionals to support students.
- Dynamic personality and willingness to make a difference in a small school environment.
Certification: Current State of Maine Teacher Certificate/Endorsement: Physical Education (510) K-12 or Teacher of Health and Physical Education Pre-kindergarten-12.
