We are expanding our childcare at the Riley Early Learning Center. We are seeking an experienced, energetic Infant Toddler Teacher 1 at our Riley Early Learning Center. This position will work as part of a classroom management team planning activities to meet infants and toddler’s social, emotional, physical and cognitive development, and engages with families in meeting both their children’s and family’s needs. Additionally, this position will supervise the other teachers. This position is 40 hours/week, 52 weeks/year. Qualifications A Child Development Associate CDA credential and have been trained (or have equivalent coursework) in early childhood development with a focus on infant and toddler development required. A.A. or B.A in Early Childhood Education or closely related field (preferred).
Other Requirements: Successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to lead and motivate others; considerable stamina to regularly lift, bend, carry and perform other high-energy activities; a valid driver’s license; telephone; computer/word-processing skills, preferably Microsoft Office; ability to function autonomously and as part of a team. Pre-employment physical, TB screening, SBI, DMV, DHHS, Maine Sex Offender Registry, fingerprinting, and federal debarment background checks must be completed upon offer of hire and as a condition of employment.
