MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or GED
Excellent customer service skills, with personal integrity and high standards of ethical behavior in all interactions
Strong skills with computer technology, and ability to quickly learn new software programs
Prior knowledge of school transportation operations preferred but not required
Current criminal history record check (CHRC) within 30 days of start date

REPORTS TO:Transportation Director

SUPERVISES: NA

JOB GOAL:To provide administrative support to the Transportation Director and the Transportation Department, with an emphasis on positive customer service.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintains positive communications with drivers, principals, employees, parents, and the public as needed, including through the operation of radios.
Maintains bus and van routes, including revising routes for changes in student ridership.
Assists the Transportation Director in assigning bus and van trips to drivers.
Assigns EZ Pass and building key cards.
Assists the Transportation Director in maintaining financial and transportation data, including trip invoicing and tracking labor costs by account.
Coordinates transportation services for school athletics.
Assists the Transportation Director in reviewing bus video camera footage for public safety violations and student behavior.
In coordination with Human Resources, schedules employee physicals and drug screening appointments.
Utilizes and routinely updates the bus routing and transportation management software.
Performs other tasks as requested.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 260 days, hourly position. Competitive Benefit Package

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated by the Transportation Director.
