Educator Prep Program Instructor - United Technologies Center

2024-2025 Academic Year

Are you passionate about shaping the next generation of educators? Join our team at UTC as an Instructor for our Educator Prep Program. You'll be guiding high school students who are considering a career in education, providing them with foundational knowledge and skills necessary for success in our program and beyond. 

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Teaching students fundamental principles of education and classroom management.
  • Collaborating with UTC administration, college education departments, and local school districts to develop and enhance the Educator Prep Program curriculum.
  • Mentoring and supporting students in their journey towards becoming educators.
  • Work with local colleges and universities to build college credit pathways. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field - Masters Degree preferred.
  • Experience working in the education sector.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • CTE Instructor Certification with State of Maine DOE
