Job Summary:
The Transportation Coordinator will be responsible for caretaking the school’s vehicle fleet as well as providing driving services. This will be a blend of administrative duties and direct service. Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively, and believe in the school’s values of respect, responsibility, and community.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for driving the school’s 30 passenger bus runs.
- Providing transportation as necessary throughout the school day
including runs to local Tech Centers and Colleges.
- Scheduling and managing fleet use by MeANS teachers and staff.
- Routine cleaning, fueling, and scheduled maintenance of fleet.
- Stay current on all applicable laws and State requirements regarding
school transportation.
- Assist with route creation and maintenance.
- Other duties as the Head of School or designee may reasonably
assign.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience driving a school bus. Satisfactory reference,background, and health checks. Must have a valid Maine CDL Class B with S, P endorsements driver’s license.
