PURPOSE:
Connor Consolidated School is seeking to hire a certified Pre k-Kindergarten Teacher for a full-time K-8 position. This teacher will have the support of a team of veteran teacher aides, and be joining not only a school, but the supportive school community found at Connor.

The position provides professional services work teaching academic subjects at schools operated by the state in the Education in the Unorganized Territory in Maine. Responsibilities include working with 4 and 5 year old students in a multiaged classroom, implementing a rigorous and age appropriate curriculum, and communicating student progress effectively.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of teaching principles, practices, and techniques.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to write clearly and effectively.
- Ability to prepare clear and concise written and/ or computer generated reports.
- Ability to develop curricula and lesson plans.
- Ability to use computer programs and technology effectively.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelors Degree in Education or related field.
LICENSING/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Maine Teacher's Certificate for appropriate subject and/or grade(s) as issued by the Department of Education.
