Position Title: Behavior Analyst – Pre-K Program
Location: Atlantic Academy, Rockport, ME
Part-Time or Full-Time | Year-Round School Schedule | Starting August 2025

Atlantic Academy is launching a new, specialized Pre-K program designed for children ages 3–6 who present with developmental, cognitive, or emotional/behavioral challenges, including autism spectrum disorders and complex behavioral needs. We are seeking a Behavior Analyst to help build and lead behavior analytic services for our expanded program. The ideal candidate will bring experience, creativity, and compassion to a team supporting our youngest learners and their families.

What You’ll Do:

Conduct functional behavior assessments in accordance with BACB ethical standards, adapted for early childhood populations

Design and oversee behavior-analytic interventions for young children in a classroom setting, with an emphasis on developmental appropriateness, safety, and skill-building

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of teachers, Ed Techs, speech/language and occupational therapists, and families

Supervise and train Behavioral Health Professionals (BHPs) and Ed Techs in effective early intervention strategies

Develop and monitor individualized behavior support plans, data systems, and early learning goals tied to social-emotional, communication, and adaptive skills

Support transition planning for students moving into or out of the Pre-K program

Contribute to a collaborative, child-centered, and resilient program culture
Ideal Candidates Will Have:

A graduate degree in behavior analysis, psychology, special education, or a related field

National certification as a BCBA or BCaBA (or eligibility for supervision if pursuing certification)

Experience working with young children (ages 3–6), preferably in early childhood special education or day treatment settings
-
Familiarity with early intervention strategies, discrete trial and naturalistic teaching, and trauma-informed approaches

Experience working with students with autism, cognitive delays, and/or behavioral disorders

Strong communication and collaboration skills, including comfort working closely with parents and public school teams
