Pond Cove Certification Committee Representative
Job Goal: To ensure that all elementary school teachers and educational specialists employed by the Cape Elizabeth School Department are certified for the position they hold, answer questions they may have about certification renewal, and provide assistance as needed in the certification renewal process.
Professional Responsibilities: Attend monthly Certification Committee meetings, assist elementary school teachers and educational specialists in preparing renewal plans and other documentation required for certification renewal, serve as a liaison between the Certification Committee and middle school staff, and keep updated with changes in the Maine DOE rules and regulations governing certification.
Qualifications: 1. Maine professional certification with at least three years of experience working at Cape Elizabeth Elementary School. 2. Strong organizational and communication skills.
Reports To: District Certification Committee Chair (Director of Teaching and Learning)
