Job Summary: Maine School Administrative District 33 (MSAD 33) in Frenchville/St. Agatha is searching for a dynamic, innovative, and cooperative individual for the Dr. Levesque Elementary School and Wisdom Middle/High School Physical Education and High School Health position for the 2024-25 school year and beyond.

The ideal candidate will be working knowledge of the Maine Learning Results Standards and how they align to the Valley Unified Performance Indicators for PE and Health.  The desired candidate must be willing to work within a Proficiency Based Education system for scoring, assessment practices, and separation of academic proficiencies from the Habits of Work, as well as scoring in a learning management system.

  • A genuine passion for promoting health and physical fitness among students.
  • Strong classroom management skills and high standards for student success.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.

Certification requirements:  510 Physical Education and/or 520 Health Education and CHRC are required.  Candidates with both certifications are preferred.

Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Education, Health Education, or a related field.

Teaching Experience:  Previous experience teaching middle or high school students is preferred.
