Job Title:  High School Educational Technicians I, II, III High School Resource Room Educational Technician III


Date Available:  Immediately

Description: 

  • Supports direct academic and behavioral instruction to high school students individually, in small groups, and in classroom settings

  • Perform non-instructional, non-evaluative functions

    • Help students master equipment/instructional materials assigned by the teacher

  • Provide classroom management functions

    • Assist with supervision of students during emergency / fire drills, assemblies and field trips

    • Provide escort and assistance to students as necessary

  • Work cooperatively and positively with coworkers and supervisors

  • Participate in in-service training programs as assigned

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising special education teacher, principal, or Director of Special Services

Qualifications:   Must hold or be eligible for Education Technician III Certification from Maine Department of Education and CHRC fingerprinting.

Maine State Law requires ALL school employees to be fingerprinted and pass a Criminal History Record Check (CHRC).
