Community Concepts provides meals and snacks to children enrolled in our Head Start and Early Head Start programs. If you love spending time with young children and want to help contribute to their nutritional well-being, then this job may be for you. The Assistant Food Coordinator will support the Food Coordinator to provide a complete nutritional program that meets Head Start and CACFP nutritional requirements for children birth to five years. Qualifications: High school diploma or G.E.D. is required, completion of Substitute Food Coordinator’s course or prior food service experience is preferred. Pre-employment physical and TB screening, SBI, DMV, DHHS, sex offender registry, fingerprinting and federal debarment background checks must be completed upon offer of hire and as a condition of employment. Must have a valid driver’s license and liability insurance. Must obtain and maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications. Must also be able to lift up to 30 pounds, bend, carry, stoop and perform other high energy activities.
