Several openings for Educational Technician II/III in an ABA-based center for preschool-aged children.
We appreciate experience with children, but we require Ed Tech III certification (or eligibility - at least 60-90 hours of college credits). A typical daily routine includes working one on one with a little one, tracking progress toward their goals and objectives, and putting behavior plans into practice, all within a preschool environment. A BHP certification and CPR/First Aid are both helpful, but we can train you for those!
That was the boring part - but the BEST part of this job is undoubtedly the kids. It is nothing short of amazing to see little people work at building skills, and then realize that they have mastered something. Independence is what we are striving for! Some of our kiddos come to us with immense challenges, others only need support in specific areas, but every single one of them needs an adult to help them find their way.
We love to have folks who are able to work alone (as working one-on-one can feel sometimes), but also finding ways to support each other as a team. We love folks with a sense of humor. Most of all, we love folks who love kids, and show that in their enthusiasm, their positive and cheerful demeanor, and their willingness to sing the same children's song more times than we can count. (Hope you like "Baby Shark"!)
COME WORK WITH US! Support a little one. Pass on your enthusiasm. Sing your heart out, and dance to the Cha-Cha Slide like you have no other purpose in life.
*Due to the COVID-19 atmosphere, we will be conducting first-round interviews via phone or Zoom*
CPR/FA certifications are helpful but not required. Positions available are full time, but hours can vary with student attendance. We follow the local school schedule for vacation days/weeks, but are open during the summer! (With the except of two separate weeks off for July 4th and a random week in August - gives everyone a bit of time to relax.)
Please call, or email resume w/college experience and certifications.
