George Stevens Academy, an independent town academy in Blue Hill, is looking to hire an experienced and dedicated full-time educator to provide self-contained special education programming for six to seven students at multiple grade levels. 

Students in the program typically spend significantly less time with non-disabled children than age-level peers and usually require support from an educational technician and content modification when attending mainstream classes. Qualified applicants will possess strong ability to write and implement Individualized Learning Plans; collaborate closely with parents, teachers, consultants, and related service providers; formulate and follow Behavior Intervention Plans; procure individualized curricula for students; and oversee all aspects of students’ programs as case manager. 282 MDOE certification and/or work experience in a similar position preferred.
