The Director of Instructional Support seeks to immediately fill an Educational Technician vacancy in a specialized program at Freeport High School. This Ed Tech will provide support to students in academic areas, in the acquisition of daily living skills, community experience, and the development of vocational and other post-school, independent living skills. The ideal candidate will have an inclusive mindset, and a passion for empowering students with disabilities to attain the academic, independent functioning, communication, and social-emotional skills to gain the highest degree of independence, make progress in standards-based learning, and attain person-centered educational milestones including graduation from high school ready for post-secondary transition, including college, career, community, and full participation in civic life. Individuals must have the ability to connect with students, follow a student’s prescribed plan for academic and/or positive behavior support, and work collaboratively with teachers and related providers as part of a high performing team.
Requirements:
Must hold a valid Ed Tech II or III certification from ME Dept. of Education.
