Physical Education Teacher (Kindergarten – Grade 4) - Patricia A. Duran School
Candidates must possess or be eligible for Maine Department of Education Teacher certification [endorsements 510 Physical Education (K-12) and 515 Adapted Physical Education] and Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) certification.
Job Goal:We are in search of an energetic, student-centered physical education teacher who can:? Encourage physical fitness and wellness in both the regular and special education setting.? Motivate students to cultivate physical fitness, good personal hygiene habits, and positive peer relationships.? Cultivate a classroom environment that focuses on student growth, positive peer relationships, and helping all students achieve their physical education goals.? Create motivating physical education lessons that are aligned to Maine standards, are engaging for students, and are appropriate for students’ development. ? Collaborate with staff to create a positive learning environment for all students.
