Headquartered in beautiful Midcoast Maine, the Central Lincoln County School System (AOS 93) seeks a
visionary strategist, organizer, educator, and administrator to lead the AOS through a period of dynamic
growth and opportunity in the role of Superintendent. With a central office in Damariscotta, AOS 93
includes seven contiguous towns and five distinct PreK-8 community schools with a total student
population of approximately 1,000 students. AOS 93 enjoys strong community interest and is
committed to continuous improvement, professional development, system-wide curricular progress and
the use of data and pedagogical innovation to provide every child with a high-quality education.
We seek an outstanding educational leader who possesses the following qualities:
- An experienced, motivational, innovative leader ready to shepherd a large regional school
system through transformational, localized change.
- A visionary who employs strategic planning and tactical approaches, encourages the use of
innovative and effective instructional strategies, supports an inclusive planning process, and coordinates the efforts of all staff to achieve the mission of a high-quality education for all students.
- An excellent communicator who listens and leads across the educational community, celebrates diversity within education, and maintains open and honest dialogue with staff, multiple school boards, and the community.
- A gifted manager with a command of the preK-8 educational landscape who can effectively organize the resources needed to move our school system forward.
- A respected, former teacher and principal with a proven track record of success in engaging and challenging all students with a rigorous curriculum.

Qualifications:
Maine State Superintendent Certification (010) or eligibility for the same;
Bachelor’s and Advanced academic degrees that demonstrate excellence in educational
achievement;
Leadership experience in educational settings including schools, colleges, or universities; Experience as a school or district administrator and classroom teacher is preferred.
