MSAD 55 is seeking a grade 5 ELA/Social Studies teacher at Sacopee Valley Middle School.  SVMS is a grades 4-8 learning community with approximately 350 students.   

The ideal candidate will have:

• Prior successful experience as an elementary or middle level classroom teacher or student teaching experience
• Experience building positive relationships with students and supporting student success
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively 
• Knowledge of differentiating instruction to meet the various needs of all learners
• Demonstrated commitment to standards-based practices

• Current Maine Elementary Certification K-6/K-8 (020); or Grades 5-8 English/Language Arts Certification (100)
