Special Education Teacher (Grades 5-8)-China Middle School

Qualifications:

• Holds current Maine Department of Education Criminal History Records Check
• Holds appropriate Maine Department of Education Teacher Certification:  282

Description:

• Plan, develop and implement individualized learning plans for each student
• Prepare instructional materials and lesson plans according to IEP's
• Utilize appropriate methods of learning delivery and instruction to meet the needs of each student in the Least Restrictive Way
• Monitor, evaluate and document each student's progress utlizing appropriate measurements and assessment devices
• Collaborate and consult with general school personnel regarding the implementation of IEPs and special education services
• Maintain accurate and complete records in compliance with school district regulations and legal requirements
• Supervise educational technicians
