Waynflete Coaching Openings for 2026-2027

Waynflete School is looking to fill the following Coaching positions for the 2026-2027 school year. 

Fall season:

• Middle school soccer: Waynflete is seeking a middle school soccer coach.  Season runs Sept 4th-Oct 30th.  Practices are 2:05-3:25 pm M/T/Th/F. The team will play about 8-10 games which are weekdays at 3:30 or 4:30 pm. Playing and/or coaching experience required.  

Winter season:

• Middle school boys basketball: Waynflete is seeking a middle school basketball coach for the spring.  Season Nov 2nd -Feb 26th.  Practices are 2:05-3:25 pm M/T/Th/F. The team will play about 8-10 games which are weekdays at 3:30 or 4:00 pm. Playing and/or coaching experience required. 
• Middle school girls basketball:  Waynflete is seeking a middle school basketball coach for the spring.  Season Nov 2nd -Feb 26th.  Practices are 2:05-3:25 pm M/T/Th/F. The team will play about 8-10 games which are weekdays at 3:30 or 4:00 pm. Playing and/or coaching experience required. 
• Middle school swim assistant coach:  Season runs Nov 2nd - Feb 26th. This program is primarily focused on stroke development and lap swimming.  The team may join one or two meets in March.  Practices at Portland YMCA 2:15-3:15 pm M/T/Th/F. 
• JV boys basketball:  The season runs from Nov 16th - end of varsity season in February.  Practices will be afternoon or evening and vary based on games and gym availability.  Many practices are at 3:30 or 5:30 pm.  Practices and games often include Saturdays. Playing and/or coaching experience required. 
• First Team boys basketball:  The season runs from Nov 16th - end of varsity season in February. Practices will be afternoon and vary based on games and gym availability.  Many practices are at 3:30 pm. Practices and games often include Saturdays. Playing and/or coaching experience required. 
• Varsity Swim head coach:  The season runs from December 7th-March 6th. Practices vary based on pool times.  Competitive swimming and coaching experience preferred. 
• Varsity Nordic ski assistant:  The season runs from November 30th - early March. Most practices are 2:30-4:30 or 3;30-5:30.  Competitive ski and coaching experience required. 

Spring season:

• JV girls Lacrosse coach/varsity assistant:  Season runs from March 29th until mid- June. Most practices are 3:30-5:30 pm.  Playing and/or coaching experience required. 
• Varsity girls tennis head coach:  Season runs from March 29th until June 10th. Most practices are 3:30-5:00 pm.  Playing and/or coaching experience required.
