 Sign on bonus **$7,500 Conditionally Licensed Clinicians & Fully Licensed Clinicians** 

 

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for provision of psycho-educational and clinical counseling services to clients and their families in a school-based setting. Through these services, the Clinician will assist clients (and their families when appropriate) in developing self-knowledge, interpersonal skills, and safety planning while keeping them in the least restrictive environment. Productivity expectations for this position will be discussed based on identified needs of the school district and individualized caseload requirements. The Clinician also is available for clinical support, training, and (if required) supervision for other school-based program staff. This is a school year position with some opportunity to provide clinical coverage for other Acadia Hospital/Acadia Healthcare programs (such as Child and Adolescent Partial and the Summer Program) during school vacation weeks and summer break. This position may be asked to deliver services during planned school breaks to appropriate youth and families who require this continuity. This person reports to and performs duties and/or responsibilities as assigned by the Clinical Supervisor. Master's Degree in Social Work (LMSW-CC, LCSW), Counseling Education (LCPC, LCPC-C), Psychology, or related field, and ability for clinical licensure required. Must have experience with children and adolescents, with expertise in individual, group and family therapy

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work (LMSW-CC, LCSW), Counseling Education (LCPC, LCPC-C), Psychology, or related field, and ability for clinical licensure required.
  • Must have experience with children and adolescents, with expertise in individual, group and family therapy.
  • The knowledge and ability to work with adolescents with various mental health diagnoses. Ability to complete age based competency in adolescents.
  • Experience providing clinical supervision and training for school based behavioral health professionals preferred. Valid Driver's License and car insurance. 
  • Satisfies all required trainings and completes Healthstream Mandatory Education on a yearly basis. Attends all mandatory safety related education programs. 
  • Follows safety procedures to prevent injury to self and others. 
  • Must possess good oral and written communication skills in the English language. 

Physical Demands:

Visual acuity, color vision, hearing acuity, and tactile sensation are necessary to respond to patient response and requests. The ability to read and speak English, to communicate and document information. Must possess the manual dexterity and a degree of body strength and flexibility to respond to aggressive patient behavior. The ability to reach and stretch intermittently. Time may be spent sitting at a computer, collaborating with other healthcare team members. Standing and walking comprises some of the workday. Some traveling required. Must have the ability to walk up stairs and work evenings.
