Description
We are always seeking to add to our School Transportation team:
Substitute Bus Driver (CDL Driver's License required, Training is available)
Substitute Van Drivers (Regular Driver's License)
Substitue Bus Aides (No license required)
Long-term and per diem (by the day) assignments available
Flexible days
4-5 hours per day
Request a tour of the bus garage today
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
To be sure all students are secure in their seatbelts/wheelchairs.
Help the Bus Driver maintain a clean bus for everyone.
Assists the bus driver in maintaining good student conduct on the bus.
Assures that students get on and off the bus in an orderly fashion
Other job-related duties as assigned by the Transportation Supervisor
Full Job Description
Certification/License:
Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) which includes Fingerprints on file with the Maine Department of Education
Education:
GED or Highschool diploma
Experience:
No experience is required but working with young and speical needs students is helpful.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
2. Valid DOE fingerprinting certification.
REPORTS TO: Transportation Supervisor
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Supervises all children on bus.
2. Obeys traffic laws.
3. Observes all mandatory safety regulations for school buses.
4. Maintains discipline when students are on bus.
5. Reports undisciplined students to the Transportation Supervisor.
6. Keeps assigned vehicle clean.
7. Checks vehicle before each operation for mechanical defects.
8. Notifies the Transportation Supervisor in case of mechanical failure or lateness.
11. Transports only authorized students.
12. Keeps to assigned schedule.
13. Reports all accidents and completes required reports.
20. Other job-related duties as assigned by the Transportation Supervisor
