Social Studies Teacher - Hermon High School

Hermon High School is Seeking candidates interested in teaching a variety of social studies topics. Interest in Government and Economics is a plus. This position is full time and will begin at the start of the 2024-25 School Year.

Qualifications:

  1. Certificate, license, or other legal credential required.
  2. Degree(s) required and area of major study.
  3. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the School Committee may find appropriate and acceptable.

Reports To: Building Principal

Job Goal:

To develop in each pupil an appreciation of American ideals and cultural heritage; to develop proficiency in the use of social studies inquiry skills and concepts; to motivate each pupil to understand and exercise the rights, privileges, and responsibilities of citizenship; to develop understanding of world regions; and to encourage pupils to develop sound opinions based on study of facts concerning operation of political and economic systems.
