This is a full time position with benefits that requires a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Additionally, the successful candidate will have sufficient technology skills to effectively communicate, which includes the ability to read and write reports. A minimum of 5 years of job related experience within the specialized fields of plumbing, carpentry, electricity; along with the competent care of related equipment. Responsible for performing repairs, maintenance and general improvements to the District’s buildings and equipment. Such items will include but not be limited to HVAC equipment, electrical fixtures, mechanical and plumbing fixtures, painting and carpentry.


Doors and Windows – Must be able to adjust, repair or replace locks, hinges, door closures, door sweeps and weather stripping. 
HVAC System – Must be able to perform preventative maintenance as scheduled.
Electrical – Must be able to diagnose minor electrical issues and change light bulbs.
Plumbing – Must be able to repair or replace flush valves, sinks, faucets, toilets, urinals and other similar plumbing devices.
Painting – Must be able to paint wood, drywall and masonry surfaces at a professional quality level, while completing projects in a timely manner.
Supplies – Must be able to periodically move District tools and supplies from one location to another. 
Training – Will be required to attend District sponsored safety and job related training programs as requested.


  • High school diploma or equivalent, post secondary training in maintenance field desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in building maintenance or related field. 
  • Valid Maine driver's license
  • Must hold or be able to obtain a State of Maine Criminal History Records Check Approval.
  • The ability to lift 50lbs and move equipment; extensive climbing, balancing, stooping, bending and working in high and/or confined areas.
  • The applicant must possess a service-oriented temperament together with sufficient educational experience to complete work requests, fill out work orders and have a good working relationship with others.
  • Knowledge of computers, building automation and pool operations preferred.
