ACADIA, A Charter Academy for Developing Independence and Achievement, provides a rigorous, comprehensive educational program for children of the Lewiston/Auburn area in grades pre-k through 5, with plans to expand to include 6th in 2020. ACADIA promotes high educational achievement through direct instruction teaching opportunities that are entwined with extensive experiential learning opportunities. ACADIA faculty and staff will support the development of the whole child as each student develops academically, socially, and emotionally in a safe community that requires personal accountability and meaningful participation. Acadia Academy is seeking a full time IEP and 504 Coordinator certified with a professional or conditional 282. The salary for this position has recently been increased.
Job duties include:
Scheduling, serving as the administrator, and reporting out for all IEP and 504 meetings (This includes writing advanced written notices and written notices)
Completing a portion of all IEPs in Adori (IEP detail page, service grid, accomodations grid, and LRE). The remaining portions of the IEP are completed by the teachers and providers.
Writing and updating 504 plans
Maintaining required records for special education and 504 students
Scheduling transportation for off-site services
Maintaining Local Entitlement funding and documentation
Coordinating Special Education referrals
Supervising 1 Behavior Technician
Supporting teachers with student accomodations, positive behavior strategies and de-escalation of students in behaviors, as needed.
Attending weekly meetings with the special education teacher and director
Certifications required: 282 (Professional or Conditional)
