Dean of Students

Lake Region Middle School is seeking a Dean of Students

Qualifications:

• Master's Degree - preferred
• Minimum of five (5) years teaching experience - required
• Demonstrated leadership ability
• Demonstrated ability to work well with students and parents
• Experience managing student discipline

Responsibilities:

• Assisting the principal and assistant principal in supervising and maintaining the daily operation of the building
• Serves as the member of the Student Support Team
• Receives referrals and confers with students, parents, teachers, and community agencies
• Acts as a district respresentative with families which may include home wellness visits
• Assists with individual student behavior plans
• Serves as a resource to staff in dealing with classroom management issues
• Delivers appropriate consequences for behavior
• Acts as a liaison between home and school

Term of employment:  188 days
