Chebeague Island School is a community-centered PreK-5 public school located on an island Casco Bay.  Access to the island is a 15 minute ferry ride from Cousins Island in Yarmouth. We are committed to academic excellence, community engagement, Expeditionary Learning, and teachers working in teams to innovate, educate, and develop as professionals.

We are looking for Social Worker,  who can collaborate closely with classroom teachers.  Responsibilities include providing school-based couseling, social skills training and development of pragmatic skills to individuals as well as small groups (class).  Duties include working with the school personnel, families and designated agencies to coordinate needed supports and services and resolve personal, emotional and social challenges that significantly interfere with a student's educational performance/acheivement.

This is a Part time position and requires Maine Department of Education Certification and Criminal History Records Check. Benefits include a competitive salary, boat and parking fare and transportation on the island.   Applications will be accepted until a suitable candidate is found.
