Camden Rockport Elementary School, nestled in a spacious setting with woods and fields adjacent to the high school, serves approximately 340 students in grades PreK-4 from the towns of Camden and Rockport. CRES uses a responsive classroom structure, has a robust system of support for students, and launched a nature based PreK in the fall of 2021.
We are seeking a highly qualified Library/Media Specialist with expertise in library sciences who can adeptly integrate library resources, media, and age-appropriate technology into a public elementary school with a focus on outdoor education. We hope to hire someone with additional experience in developing a makerspace within a library and delivering hands-on K-4 science instruction. Our preferred candidate excels in a collaborative environment and takes initiative to effectively collaborate with school staff and community organizations.
State of Maine Library/Media Specialist Certification (071) required (or show evidence of Maine Certification eligibility) with an additional Maine K-8 General Education Certification preferred.
