Come join our team during an exciting time of growth in Westbrook Adult Education!

This position will support recent Westbrook High School graduates and community members with their future planning. An example of this is our Summer Melt program and our partnership with SMCC that both begin this summer. Summer Melt is a reading and writing intensive program for accepted college students who need an academic boost before becoming completely independent college students. Our partnership with SMCC will include required math and English prerequisites for incoming freshmen. The intent of this program is to prepare students for college level instruction in these areas. 

Westbrook Adult Education is working on expanding these opportunities for our students, along with other workforce development courses, such as digital literacy, Microsoft Office, Google Suite and so on. These skills will support our students reaching their aspirations and increasing their earning potential. Ultimately, these opportunities will benefit our students, their families and the Westbrook community. In addition to this, we are currently partnered with Luke’s Lobster where we offer onsite and online language acquisition courses in the workplace. This position will help to oversee recruitment of students at Luke's and instruction, both on site in Saco (occasionally) and online. 

Westbrook Adult Education is also expanding enrichment opportunities for members of the commuhnity.The ideal candidate will have experience with community networking and relationship building. 

Experience working with adult learners and multilingual learners is strongly desired. We are seeking student centered professionals who have strong work ethic, a commitment to the growth of our programming, a sense of humor and a true passion for helping others reach their goals.
