We are currently seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist who enjoys working with children, values flexibility, and is passionate about helping schools solve staffing shortages through high-quality teletherapy.
Position Summary
The Occupational Therapist will provide virtual occupational therapy services to students in Maine schools using a secure telehealth platform. This position offers the flexibility of working from home while collaborating with school teams to help students reach meaningful educational goals.
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy evaluations and treatment through teletherapy
- Develop individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, families, and school teams
- Participate in virtual IEP meetings as needed
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly
- Maintain professional and ethical standards in accordance with Maine licensing requirements
Qualifications
- Current Maine Occupational Therapist license
- NBCOT certification preferred
- Experience working in pediatric or school-based settings
- Comfortable using technology and telehealth platforms
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while remaining a collaborative team member
