School Occupational Therapist

Anticipated Opening for School Year 2024-2025

                       

Maine Indian Education is currently accepting applications for a School Occupational Therapist.  Experience working with students in

an educational setting providing occupational therapy services to support their academic and functional success is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct student assessments
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students’ needs
  • Collaboration with teachers, parents, and other staff to ensure coordinated therapeutic goals
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services individually and in groups
  • Monitor and document students’ progress making adjusting intervention plans as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Maine State licensure as Occupational Therapist
  • Experience working with school-age children
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet diverse needs
  • Knowledge of special education IEP processes and regulations and 504
  • Experience with assistive technology
  • Willing to travel
  • Criminal history record check and substance abuse testing.
