RSU 64 is seeking applicants for a half time (.5FTE) Math teacher vacancy for Central High School for the 2024-25 school year and beyond. Central High School is located in Corinth, Maine.  RSU 64 serves students in Bradford, Corinth, Hudson, Kenduskeag, and Stetson, Maine. 

Central High School is seeking a qualified teacher of Pre Algebra and Algebra 1 to join the mathematics department.  We want to encourage intellectual freedom and creativity, curricular integration with other disciplines, and critical and reflective thinking about how we can provide the most relevant and meaningful experiences for our students.  If you are someone who seeks the opportunity to be an innovator in math education, and someone who loves working with young people, then we encourage you to apply. There is a possibility this position may be combined with another content area to create a full time position.

In addition to the desire to be an innovator, the successful candidate will preferably have:

Demonstrated prior successful experience as a teacher of students in grades 9-12;

Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team;

Demonstrated knowledge of a standards based system of education;

Demonstrated knowledge in the application of technology in the delivery of instruction;

Current Maine certification or the ability to become certified; and

Current Maine CHRC
