Coach for After-School Chess Club

CK Burns is seeking an enthusiastic coach to run the after-school chess club!

• This club will meet weekly after school for 1 hour from November to February. If successful, a second round of this club could happen.
• Students who enroll will already know how to play chess, and are looking for competition among one another.
• The coach will help guide games but will not teach strategy or coach on improved play.
• Students will stay after school and need to be picked up at the end of the activity.

Qualifications:

-Valid Department of Education CHRC
-Must be able to pass a background check
-Ability to maintain positive student interaction at all times
-Previous successful coaching experience in assigned sport preferred
-Coaches must serve as appropriate role models for student-athletes through their instructions and actions.
