Description

Are you interested in making a difference in the lives of young children and their families? The Children’s Center is an early intervention and family support organization with services for children ages birth through 21 years. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who love working to support children in a multi-disciplinary team environment.

The BHP/Ed Tech III will work with a Master's level Clinician and special education team in a Day Treatment Special Purpose program for children ages 3 to 5 years old. Staff in this position conduct one-on-one or small group instruction, perform classroom management, and complete daily data collection and documentation. And the best part? Playing is the name of the game! Children learn best through play, so all classroom therapeutic interventions use play-based strategies. Who doesn't want to play all day?!

The Children’s Center offers a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance options, 401k options, generous Paid Time Off accrual, continuing education support as well as a consistent work schedule. If you’re interested in joining a team of highly skilled professionals looking to change little lives every day, the Children’s Center is the place for you.

Applicants must provide documentation that they have at least 90 college credit hours and have or be eligible for Maine Department of Education certification as an Educational Technician III. It is essential, as part of this multi-disciplinary team, to have a positive attitude, high energy level, and the ability to think creatively. Children’s Center provides BHP training, CPR/First Aid and Safety Care certification, and Master’s level clinical supervision.
