M.S.A.D. No. 27 is seeking a Maine State Certified Speech Language Pathologist for the 2020-2021 school year. This speech language pathologist will be primarily responsible for evaluating students suspected of having learning disabilities. The SLP will confer with school or other personnel and records to obtain additional information on the nature and severity of the suspected disability. SLP must be able to effectively report findings to staff and parents when determining educational programming. Ideal candidates will have experience in the administration of the Woodcock-Johnson IV (WJIV), although WJIV training will be available. SLP must be able to select, administer and score a variety of tests to measure students’ educational achievements. Additionally, the speech language pathologist may be required to provide SLP direct services and speech language evaluations as needed.
