CTE Exploratory instructor- OHS

This position will be located at Orono High School

2024-2025 School Year

Instructing 9th & 10th-grade students who are considering enrolling in a technical program at United Technologies Center during their junior and senior years. Students will have access to a hands-on, project-based trade curriculum that helps develop specific academic, interpersonal, and career/technical skills. Many of the skill standards included in this CTE Exploratory curriculum are the same introductory skills taught within UTC's twenty different program areas, creating a sequential curriculum to enhance student success.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Teaching students basic and introductory trade skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborating with UTC/OHS Staff to build the program to support students interested in attending UTC.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant trade experience and training.
  • CTE Instructor Certification with State of Maine DOE
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with colleagues, students, families, and community partners.
  • Professional, cooperative, and respectful of others' beliefs, opinions, and confidentiality.
