NFI North Sidney Riverbend has an open position for an Ed Tech III/Teacher's Aide. This high staff intensive residential program in Sidney, ME serves adolescents ages 10 - 18 and operates a Special Purpose Private School to meet their educational needs.
The Ed Tech III/Teacher's Aide is responsible for classroom instructional and behavioral support including assisting students with lesson assignments, planning, preparing teaching aids and coordinating instructional efforts with the school team and assisting students prepare for the start of the school day.
Qualifications require certification as an Ed Tech III (minimum of 90 college credit hours) and Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) certification plus one year of experience working with youth. Strong organizational and documentation skills are necessary; ability to instruct, assume and delegate responsibilities and exercise sound judgement is critical.
The ideal candidate will be flexible, energetic and have the desire to be part of a team of professionals. This is a fulltime benefit eligible position that operates on a 200 day calendar in addition to a required extended five week summer school schedule.
