Social Emotional Learning Teacher (.4 FTE)

Georgetown Central School is seeking a two day a week social emotional learning teacher. The SEL teacher would be responsible for teaching the Kind Mind curriculum, providing professional development around SEL learning topics to teachers, supporting students through small group learning, and providing support in the classroom. The SEL teacher will be an expert in differentiating instruction to meet the needs of students, as well as being able to individualize plans and learning for specific students. The SEL teacher will assist the building principal in developing response to intervention behavior plans for students, as well as act as a member of the school’s SAT team. The SEL teacher will also assist the building principal with professional development of staff in the areas of project and inquiry based experiential learning.The SEL teacher may also have a school counselor or social work certification.

Georgetown Central School is a small rural community with students from grades PreK-6. We serve roughly 60 students. Our mission is to provide an engaging and unique educational experience for all our learners.
