Kennebunk Beach Improvement Association (www.kbia.net) is a 115+ year old summer, community-based, 501 (c)(3) not for profit organization that offers a variety of recreational and enrichment programs. Our signature program is sailing. Our program runs nine weeks in 2026, starting June 22nd and ending on August 21st.
Our spectacular facility is located on a tidal cove in Kennebunk Beach, Maine. Kayaking and waterfront classes are taught in the Cove and on select weeks we offer a 3-hour kayaking trip outside the Cove; that is the only time instruction is held outside our protected cove environment.
We are seeking a Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) Instructor for our 2026 Summer season teaching ages 9-14. The position requires a Maine Sea Kayaking Guide’s license. It is part time – and the times each day fluctuate with the tides. It is an ideal job for a teacher in the summer or someone looking to supplement their income. Dedicated parking is provided.
The SUP Guide reports to the Waterfront Director and is supported by Counselors and Counselors in Training (CIT).
Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience. Housing negotiable.
