Falmouth High School is seeking a highly motivated individual to support our high school as a full-time adminstrative assistant.



In this position, you will work with the administration and staff to build the master class schedule, maintain accurate grading records, and provide support to teachers around the use of the student information system. Your job duties are primarily technology-based.  As such, you'll need to be familiar with school-based student information systems and databases, as well as possess strong interpersonal skills. The position will provide administrative support to the school’s leadership and student support services teams, with an ability to effectively communicate within the Google Suite (docs, sheets, drive).  This position reports directly to the principal.




  • Education: High School Diploma (minimum), Associates or Bachelors Degree (preferred) 

  • Experience in a school support setting (preferred) 

  • Experience with school information systems and/or databases

  • Have or able to obtain Maine CHRC certification (criminal records check) as well as a district run background check

  • Exceptional clerical, communication and technical skills necessary




  • Create the master schedule for the school in the student information system

  • Serve as the "go to" person for staff around grading software

  • Store, correct and maintain grading database 

  • Coordinate state and national testing logistics

  • Create an alumni database

  • Interact with students, staff & parents in a courteous, professional manner

  • Assist with student schedule changes in student information system

  • Prepare state data reports

  • Other duties as assigned




  • Maintains confidentiality about all aspects of students.

  • Demonstrate a respect for the legal and human rights of students.

  • Meet and follow all laws and regulations at both the State and Federal levels.

  • Follow health and safety procedures established by the district.

  • Arrive and depart punctually, notifying appropriate personnel about absences and coverage.

  • Follow chain of command for various administrative procedures for student or program concerns.

  • Observe all School Board policies.

185 days (school year) + 20 summer (variable) days, as assigned


Daily 7:00 am - 3:00 (30 min Lunch Break)
