Duties: 1.Abide by the Scarborough Middle School Athletic Departments Coaches Handbook2. Abide by all Maine Principals Association rules and regulations3. Follow and implement all rules and policies within the school & athletic handbooks4. Equipment inventory & management5. May need to communicate travel arrangement & schedule with Athletic Department staff6. Implement school athletic Code of Conduct7. Make sure roster and students comply with Athletic Department8. Ensure athletic participation fee payment by athletes in conjunction with AD’s office9. Help in the distribution of team rosters, contest schedules and descriptions of contest locations to all players and parents10. Properly communicate with students and parents as it relates to the SMS communication guide11. Monitor athlete attendance/behavior/academic status as communicated by the athletic department12. Complete all paperwork assigned by the department.13. Communicate all student-athlete injuries to the Athletic Trainer and/or athletic office14. Attend all school Athletic Department meetings as assigned by the Athletic Director15. All others as assigned by the Director of Athletics and the Athletic DepartmentMaine State Law requires ALL school employees to be fingerprinted and pass a Criminal History Record Check (CHRC).
