Nobleboro Central School is seeking a compassionate, student-focused guidance counselor to join our supportive and collaborative team. The successful candidate will provide individual and group counseling, academic guidance, and social-emotional support to students. You will help students navigate challenges, develop strong coping and decision-making skills, and achieve personal and academic goals. Key Responsibilities and Skills
- Assist with academic planning, course selection, and career readiness
- Provide individual and group counseling to support student social-emotional growth
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to address student needs
- Support positive behavior interventions and school-wide social-emotional programs
- Maintain accurate student records and documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Qualifications
- Valid Maine School Counselor Certification or LCSW
- Experience working with students in elementary, middle, or high school settings
- Understanding of social-emotional learning, adolescent development, and counseling best practices
