Licensed Clinical Social Worker - Special Education - Elementary

Stevens Brook Elementary School (K-5)

This position will provide services to students requiring such services per their IEP. Experience working with students with social, emotional, and behavioral disabilities and needs preferred.

This position will require:

• Providing group and individual therapy to students per their IEP
• Being an active member of a special education team with daily work within our Day Treatment Program
• Engaging in positive conflict resolution and mediation between home and school
• Promoting improvement in social-emotional and behavioral well-being 
• Consulting with staff regarding needs of students, families, and programs
• Oversight of educational technicians with BHP Training
• Completing required paperwork in a timely fashion including Maine Care billing
• Completing psychosocial evaluations as determined by IEP Teams

Qualifications:

• Current LCSW or LCPC and CHRC - Required
• Prior work experience in both academic and mental health settings - Preferred
• Two (2) years of direct clinical experience with children and families - Required
• Experience writing, implementing, and assessing social work IEP goals - Required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Required
• Highly organized, flexible, enthusiastic, and energetic and able to work well in a fast-paced collegial environment - Required
• Experience with Maine Care billing - Preferred
