Description

AOS 93 is seeking a licensed physical therapist to provide contracted services for students in grades K–8. This is a part-time contracted position (approximately 12–14 hours per week).

 

Professional Responsibilities

  • Respond to evaluation referrals for students with suspected disabilities and conduct re-evaluations for students with identified disabilities.

  • Develop present levels of performance and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), including measurable goals and objectives.

  • Provide physical therapy services to assigned students in accordance with IEP goals, frequency, duration, and placement determined by the IEP Team.

  • Maintain effective oral and written communication with parents, teachers, and other educational personnel.

  • Collaborate with school staff to identify areas where support and adaptation strategies are needed to improve student access and participation in the educational environment.

 

Qualifications

  • Current Maine physical therapist license.

  • Experience working with school-aged children preferred.

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
