IT/Cyber Security Instructor - New Position 24/25!

IT/CYBER SECURITY INSTRUCTOR (full-time) – NEW POSITION!

Region 10 Technical High School in Brunswick, Maine is seeking an IT/Cyber Security Instructor.  Positions to be filled when suitable candidate is found.

Job Goals:

To provide a curriculum-based instructional program for skill development in today’s technological world.  Emphasis in Information Technology will be placed on developing a broad Technology Based Portfolio which students can use to advance academic and employment careers. And, no modern technology class can be complete without developing creative and critical thinking skills while considering the social and ethical implications of technology.  The emphasis of Cyber Security will be a constantly evolving experience starting with the basics of security but also studying current and evolving threats facing the real world security landscape focusing on the CIA triad of cyber security and best practices. Collaboration and teamwork will be critical to the success of a student in the program.

Job Description to Include:

• Develop, implement and/or refine a program curriculum and scope-and-sequence based on appropriate, relevant standards and goals, including unit, instructional, and assessment plans  

• Develop lesson plans and deliver instructional activities that facilitate learning in accordance with the program curriculum

• Assist in the development of the annual program budget, and assure compliance with budget guidelines by establishing priorities and maintaining accurate records

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be eligible for provisional Certification and CTE Endorsement
• Successful Maine background check required
• Must hold or be able to obtain CHRC certification
• Experience working in the trade required with working knowledge of relevant industry standards
